Das würde bedeuten, dass dieses Update auch mein 2882 klanglich verbessern würde, right?
Inwiefern ist der Klang denn besser, und was kostet dieses Upgrade?

Glaub ich sofort.
Well, this is unexpected and incredibly welcome....
I just de-mothballed an Early 2009 Mac Mini running Mountain Lion OS-X 10.8.5 as for various reasons I needed to inspect some old Logic 9/WaveBurner 1.6.1 CD mastering files.
Just as I was regretting not keeping back a Metric Halo box on legacy 2d/Firewire (instead of upgrading all four of my MH boxes to 3d as I have done), I notice in the pb10 release notes for 3d BJ states it should work as far back as... Mountain Lion.
Not quite believing this until I saw it, I downloaded pb10 onto my old 2009 Mini, grabbed a 2882 3d, installed the MH Link driver, connected up an Ethernet cable and held my breath... lo and behold the whole system is working flawlessly!
Let's just run that timeline for a sec...When you think of the monotonous regularity with which digital equipment is rendered obsolete these days, and software 'breaks' with different iterations of hardware and firmware, I'd say that is far beyond the median of expectation.

Welchen Switch nutz du? Ich hab mir neulich einen gebrauchten Dell 2816 geholt, weil der fürs Ravenna Netzwerk mit Merging Hardware empfohlen wird.
